BMO is the intersection of two translates of dyadic BMO

Let T be the unit circle on R2. Denote by BMO(T) the classical BMO space and denote by BMOD(T) the usual dyadic BMO space on T. Then, for suitably chosen δ ∈R, we have ‖φ‖BMO(T) ‖φ‖BMOD(T) + ‖φ(· − 2δπ)‖BMOD(T), ∀φ ∈ BMO(T). To cite this article: T. Mei, C. R. Acad. Sci. Paris, Ser. I 336 (2003).  2003 Académie des sciences. Shining a Hilbertian lamp on the bidisk

1 Lecture 1: Model Theory seca The basic idea behind model theory is to associate a Hilbert space construction with a function, and then use Hilbert space theory to illuminate the function theory. In one variable, one approach is to study the de Branges-Rovnyak space associated with a function φ in the ball of H(D). This is the Hilbert space of analytic functions on the disk D with reproducing ...

The Takagi problem on the disk and bidisk

We give a new proof on the disk that a Pick problem can be solved by a rational function that is unimodular on the unit circle and for which the number of poles inside the disk is no more than the number of non-positive eigenvalues of the Pick matrix. We use this method to find rational solutions to Pick problems on the bidisk. Dedicated to the memory of Bela Szokefalvi-Nagy, whose work inspire...

Nevanlinna-pick Interpolation on Distinguished Varieties in the Bidisk

This article treats Nevanlinna-Pick interpolation in the setting of a special class of algebraic curves called distinguished varieties. An interpolation theorem, along with additional operator theoretic results, is given using a family of reproducing kernels naturally associated to the variety. The examples of the Neil parabola and doubly connected domains are discussed.
